The initial estimate
When you first call (1-800-467-1744) or email us, we would like some details regarding your project. Your specific answers will help us determine the best solution for your particular need and price range. From that, we can make an initial estimate.
Some of the information we would like to know is:
Your Objective: What problem are you trying to solve with this awning or canvas project? (Need shade, signage, windblocking, privacy, weather protection, and/or aesthetic appeal etc.)
Size: How large is the area you want to cover? How many windows and their sizes? Length of walkways to cover, area of patio, etc.
Budget: Have you considered your budget? We have solutions in a variety of price ranges, anywhere from $500 on up.
With this information we can give you a general estimate to aid in your decision making.
Finalizing the Project
Let us know when you are ready to order your awning and a project manager will visit your site. This visit is to take final measurements and discuss the details of your project. You will then receive a formal estimate and a purchase agreement to begin the project. Typically a 50 percent down payment is due with the signed purchase agreement in order to begin production.
Timing
Our production time is typically 30 days, but special arrangements may be made for other schedules.
Production time begins once all details (including graphics if applicable) have been finalized and specified on the contract. We can provide a rendering of your awning to help clarify project details if necessary.
If you have any questions about your project while it is in production, please feel free to give us a call.
Installation
We deliver your awning in a covered trailer / truck, to bring it in perfect condition to your building or home.
All of our awnings are installed by our own trained staff. Let them know if you have any special concerns. And don't be surprised if they want to take a picture of a job well done!
On the day of installation you will also be invoiced for the remaining balance of your project. This payment is due upon receipt. Our installers can also collect your payment if you would like and a receipt will then be mailed to you showing your payment.
Warranty
G&J Awning provides a two (2) year limited warranty for its work, covering both labor and materials furnished by G&J Awning. This warranty does not include damages due to negligence, vandalism, acts of nature, labor or materials not provided by G&J Awning, or other actions beyond G&J Awning's control. Light bulbs are not covered by this warranty. The fabric you selected may also be warranted by the manufacturer. Upon receipt of payment in full from this job, G&J Awning will assign any manufacturer's warranties to you.
Follow-up
After your project is complete and installed, we want to hear from you about your experience. Your project manager will be sending you a customer survey after the installation of your project.
Later if you should have any questions about the care of your awning, please give us a call.
